I can't believe it. She's 5 months old. What. The. Heck. The level of my disbelief is astronomical.
AS. TRO. NOM. I. CAL.
She's huge. She knows things. She's discovered things. She's probably studied up on string theory for all I know. What I do know is that she's mine. I'm so proud of her. I've never loved anything more. I can't imagine my life without her. Charlotte is five months old. My goodness.
CHARLOTTE'S 5 MONTH
17 lbs 0 oz
She is rolling around everywhere! I call her my little rolly-polly-olly because she is constantly rolling around!
She turns and scoots herself all over her crib now too. Usually, when I go to her up from bed, she is turned the wrong way in her crib. She also loves to blow raspberries (blow bubbles) and drool everywhere. She does that especially when she gets really excited!
Her toes are constantly in her mouth. They are her favorite "teether" of all time. I mean, I'd love to paint her tiny, little toe nails, but she'd just eat the paint right off!
She's also now obsessed with loud toys. Anything that rattles, buzzes, vibrates, shakes, moves, or makes any noise in general. She loves the stimulation. She notices loud things more - like lawnmowers or car horns.
Wakes up around 8-9am
Takes a 2-3 hour long nap 1-2 hours after waking up
She usually awake for about 3-4 hours after that nap
Naps for another 2 or so hours
Bedtime between 9-10pm
Wakes up 2ish times per night (because of teething pain)
Charlotte still nurses on demand. She was never a schedule-orientated baby. Just like her mommy, she knows what she wants and when she wants it! ;)
We also gave her, her first taste of baby rice cereal last week! She's only had it that one time though because you have to use either breastmilk or formula. I really can't pump that much anymore and I don't want to spend $876,953 on it... ;)
She is currently wearing 6 month, 6-9 month, and 9 month clothing.
She is also now in size 2 diapers!
What the heck... (HUGE GIRL!)
I gained 7 lbs this month but then I lost 2. I have about 17 lbs to go until I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight. But honestly, Im not too concerned about it. Of course I'd love to be "myself" again but this weight is technically good weight. It helped my baby grow and become who she is today :) But let's be honest...go away, fat!!
In my last YouTube video I mentioned that I had been losing crazy amounts of hair (which is normal postpartum apparently) but it has been getting much better recently. I'm still losing some when I brush my hair but at least it's not just falling out on its own every second of the day!
I really need to eat a little bit better and also drink more water. I've been much thirstier lately because of nursing so I've been getting a few headaches and have been more tired. More water should fix that! (I hope!)
Thank you so much for reading my blog, guys! Don't forget to check out my YouTube video detailing all of this. (Plus, there is a cute video montage at the end of Charlotte!
