I neeeever find any of the cool things I hear about at Dollar Tree. Everyone on blogs and YouTube are always raving about all the awesome home decor items and tons of other fun things they find at Dollar Tree.
I, being the frugal-est of all frugals, always go thinking this time I'll find the goods! Nope. Broken picture frames and miniature toothpaste is all I see.
BUT NOT THIS TIME.
Oh no. This time I walked in and the entire first aisle was fall decor. I literally ran to the leaf garlands and took every last one they had left and put them in my cart. Haha I looked like a crazy lady! But I seriously could not believe I found the elusive Dollar Tree fall decor I hear so much about! I grabbed it all. ALL.
I put together this post so you too can fill your little green cart with cheap fall decor items! And by the way I only spent $15 to decorate my whole house (and fill my mouth with candy corn cavities...).
SIDE NOTE: I bought the candy corn thinking, "This will be for decoration only. There is NO way Dollar Tree candy corn tastes remotely good. WRONG! It tastes better than the kind at my local grocery store! That's just my humble opinion but just watch out because you'll eat one piece and then 3.5 minutes later the whole bag will be gone. I warned you...)
let's get started!
WHAT I BOUGHT
Two Bags Faux Maple Leaves - $1 each.
Leaf bowl - $1
Happy Scarecrow - $1
Leaf Place Mat - $1
7 Strands of Faux Leaf Garlands - $1 each
"Give Thanks" Owl Door Mat - $1
Pumpkin Centerpiece - $1
Candy Corn - $1
So in all that equals $15!
Woooo so cheap!
No, let's take a look at how I used all of this.
WHAT I DID WITH IT ALL
Use random objects, fruits, and veggies to jazz up your decorations!
Here's how I added more to my kitchen counter decor...
Well there you have it! My $15 Dollar Tree fall home decor. It's amazing how $15 can transform your home. You better believe I'll be in their store again the day they bring out their Christmas stuff! (Unless I'm in labor. I'm due the day before Thanksgiving... And even then I might have Tom stop at Dollar Tree on the way into triage.)
I hope you all enjoyed this post! Go to your nearest Dollar Tree (or other dollar store) and snatch all their fun fall decorations before they're gone! I love my stuff. And the fact that it cost me so little makes me love it even more.
Don't forget to SHARE this post with your friends so they know to get their butts over to Dollar Tree ASAP and get all the goods!
And pssssst! I also wanted to see if any of you have heard that I recently started vlogging! Yep. My crazy little family has made its way to YouTube. Go check out my channel HERE if you want to see what we've been up to. And subscribe! It's free and just let's you know when I upload a new video (once weekly).
Have a great day!

Baby girl's eyesight is continuing to develop, although even after birth it will still only be 20/400 for awhile. She is sitting in about a pint and a half of amniotic fluid at this point and is moving all over the place! She is also controlling her own body temperature now and her skin is becoming more smooth after being wrinkly for awhile. She is also beginning to store her own iron, calcium, and phosphorous. Her eyelashes and eyebrows are fully grown and the hair on her head is getting thicker. She may also be dreaming! How sweet!
Girly weighs about 3 lbs now and measures about 15 inches long.
She is about the size of a

Thankfully I did not gain five pounds in the last two weeks (the rate I was gaining last month.) I only gained two! The "normal" weight gain is about a pound a week so that's good that I'm in that range now. This brings my total weight gain to 21 lbs. Not bad if I do say so myself!
Still have not bought any more maternity clothes but I really should. I think I'll take a trip to Marshall's or TJ Maxx soon. You know, as soon as I buy an entire new fall/winter wardrobe for Charlotte, an entire wardrobe for her baby sister (since she has approximately one newborn outfit...) and an updated professional wardrobe for Tom's new job. So after I regain the millions (exaggeration obviously) of dollars I'll be spending on all of that, THEN maybe I'll get something new. lol.
Sleep has been okay! But no two weeks are the same so we'll see what I say about it next week...
Best Moment From Weeks 29 + 30
I had the realization the other day...
I hit thirty weeks and thought, "I could have this baby in seven weeks. SEVEN." That seems like the blink of an eye to me and I suddenly feel so unprepared! I realized I'll be up all night feeding a newborn again and that this time I can't just nap whenever I want during the day while she's napping because I have a toddler. It's a little daunting.
the reason this is the best moment from weeks 29 and 30 is because I also realized that I get to snuggle and kiss my sweet, tiny girl in as little as seven weeks. That makes me happier than the realization makes me nervous. I'm so excited to cuddle around our Christmas tree with my handsome man and our gorgeous girls.
Best. Christmas. Ever.
Nothing still! My intense cravings have kind of dropped off the face of the planet so...cool! Maybe I won't stuff my face as often? Wishful thinking...
Like my cravings, my aversions are gone!
*knock on wood*
I have been getting a zillion Braxton Hicks contractions lately and baby girl has decided that being still during them is not fun. She would rather squirm like crazy during each and every one and it's preeeeeety painful sometimes. And sometimes, Charlotte decides to climb all over me during them too so...that's fun.
- My tailbone is still tender and I don't think that's going away until this girl is on the outside!
- This isn't really a symptom I guess but I think baby girl is trying to claw her way out of me! I can see her punching, kicking, rolling and poking all over my stomach. It's crazy! I feel like she is dying to get out of me!
Happy or Moody?
My Midwife Says...
I went in this week and mentioned something about having a lot of headaches since I was a young teenager and the midwife told me that I need to be sure that if I have a headache I don't have any swelling accompanying it because that could mean preeclampsia. I'm definitely keeping an eye on that although I haven't had a headache in a little while.
That's all for my 30 week update!
Let me know in the comments if you're experiencing the same things in your own pregnancy!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Pumpkin spice everything is hitting the shelves, the drive thrus, and now it can hit your kitchen with ONE extra step to your regular coffee routine in the morning!
I've seen a lot of pumpkin spice latte recipes floating around on blogs and on YouTube but let's be honest...ain't no mommy got time for that. They require multiple perishable ingredients and multiple steps to achieve the end result. Umm no thank you.
Even before I was a mom I was using this method when fall rolled around each year because I was either rushing to school or work in the morning.
(This is before I convinced my boss to get an office Keurig but I digress. Former coworkers, you can thank me later...) ;)
All you need is a $3.00 spice you probably already have in your cabinet.
1. Pumpkin pie spice
1. Add 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice to your regularly prepared coffee and mix well. (Feel free to add more if you are a real pumpkin freak. ;) )
Okay, okay so there are a few ways you could mess this up. Like, obviously if you regularly use peppermint creamer you don't want to throw pumpkin pie spice in that. But if you make your coffee with "original" creamer or even French vanilla (just something with a tame taste) you will be fine to add the pumpkin pie spice and it still taste like pumpkin! You can even use a tamely flavored coffee! Just be smart about it. Again, no peppermint. Ick.
I'll tell you exactly how I make mine and suggest a healthier sugar substitute.
I brew a cup of Eight O'Clock 100% Colombian Peak coffee. I then use 1 tablespoon of Organic Coconut Palm Sugar. It is an amazing sugar alternative and tastes the same in coffee as sugar does! (And you can use it as a brown sugar substitute in baking or on top of your oatmeal!). It is made from dried coconut palm nectar. It is certified organic, non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free.
Anyway, I then add (way too much) liquid french vanilla creamer.
And then I add my 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice.
Alrighty well that about does it! I hope you all try this easy recipe and please let me know if you do!
Have a wonderful day!

Baby girl is now opening her eyes, which are growing lashes now! She may even be able to see light filtering through my stomach. Crazy! She is also developing more and more fat preparing for her life outside the womb. (Fat rolls that I will surely be kissing all over! Baby fat is the absolute cutest!)
Apparently her heartbeat is so strong now that Tom may be able to hear it beating if he puts his ear to my belly. We'll have to try and see! That would be so amazing. The part of her brain that is responsible for consciousness is quickly developing too. She is fully formed and now all she has to do is worry about growing and packing on the pounds before she comes. Yay, baby girl!
She now weighs about 2.5 lbs and is about 14 inches long.
She is about the size of a large

Holy moly people. At my appointment the other day I stepped on the scale and said, "Is that RIGHT?!" I gained TEN pounds this month alone! If you've followed me from the beginning of this pregnancy you'll know that at first I lost 5 lbs then I've slowly been creeping up on the scale (barely). I had gained 9 lbs total up until a few weeks ago apparently. But now I'm up 19 lbs! Dang. I gained 40 in total with Charlotte so if I stay under that I'll be happy (but less would be nice!).
I thought I had enough maternity clothes. I was wrong. Haha I need moooooreee. Nothing fits right on me. I bought some maternity shirts from Target that are really long with the thought that they would fit for the rest of my pregnancy. BUT my stomach sticks so far OUT this time that it doesn't matter how long they are. They just feel tight and stretched and the material is weird so it always sneaks up above my waistline. WHYYYYY, TARGET, WHYYYYY.
Maybe one day someone will make some maternity clothes that actually fit and stay on busy, pregnant moms. I can dream, right?
Sleep is okay. Sometimes I fall asleep right away and stay asleep all night. Other times I'm up really late and then I wake up every few hours. It's hit or miss.
Best Moment From Weeks 27 + 28
I was laying in bed the other day feeling oh so sick (we all got a virus here at our house) and I was just miserable. But then baby girl started kicking and punching me like crazy and even kicked me so hard one time that I jumped up! It was craziness! As bad as I was feeling it was really sweet and made me feel better at least emotionally. She must have known how sick I was and was trying to make me laugh. It worked! :)
Well, nothing actually! See below.
So, because we've all been sick with a stomach bug I've really not been wanting anything lately. Tom got us some Chipotle on Sunday and while normal, pregnant Hannah would have LOVED it, and I thought I would, it was not amazing. And coffee? I usually live for coffee but I have not wanted it at all the last week or so. Ewww. Maybe one day I'll feel right again...
Just a bunch of Braxton Hicks contractions but those aren't real ones. They're basically practice contractions that get you ready for the real thing. They don't hurt, but just contract and tighten your uterus until your belly feels rock hard. It's weird but kinda interesting!
- Anemia. I went to my midwife this week and said I was a little anemic so I'm taking iron tablets. That explains the exhaustion!
- My tailbone has been really tender? I know - WEIRD. I'm not sure if that's even a pregnancy thing or not. I feel like it is because I've gained so much weight this month and it's putting more pressure on it. But yeah. Strange.
Happy or Moody?
Definitely happy! Even being sick I've been feeling really positive. A lot of that has to do with Tom. He is so positive and sweet and lifts my spirits just by being in the same room as me. He got sick after I did and he was all smiles the whole time. He's the best :)
My Midwife Says...
I saw a brand new midwife at their office this week and although I was slightly anemic she was confident that everything will be perfectly fine for baby and for me. We did listen to baby girl's heartbeat of course and it was very stong! She was pretty impressed with how strong it was which makes me so happy!
That's it for my 28 week update! Let me know if I missed anything because I have a weird feeling that I did? #mombrain
I'd love to hear in the comments if you're in the same stage of pregnancy as I am and if you're experiencing the same thing!
