B A B Y S T A T S
My big girl is getting HUGE! Well, compared to how little she WAS. You know, like, microscopic. But I'm so proud of how big she's getting and how much she's moving and squirming! She's definitely ready for the outside world.
She's shedding most of the downy hair on her body and all the vernix - the waxy substance that is protecting her skin while she's sitting in amniotic fluid. At the end of this week I could safely go into labor and have her. CRAZY!
She is about 6 lbs now and could be as long as 18 inches!
She is about the size of a head of

3 more lbs this week! Yikes. No more!
I'm up to 30 lbs total now. Meh.
Yep. Same as last time. EXCEPT I found two more shirts in the depths of my closet that still fit me. That brings it up to three whole shirts that fit me! Woo! (And by the way none of them are very cute.)
Only 4 more weeks though!
Meh. I wake up a lot, usually ignore the fact that I have to go to the bathroom, and go back to sleep. Haha I'm so lazy... But I still go to the bathroom at least twice per night. Thankfully I usually don't have a problem getting back to sleep though.
Best Moment From Weeks 35 + 36
- This might sound lame but if you've had a baby you know what a relief this can be! I shopped for and bought all of baby girl's clothes this week! They're all folded and put away. "Charlotte's closet" is now "the girls' closet" which is crazy to me! I also hauled out all the bibs and burp cloths, the newborn shoes, the pacifiers and all that stuff. So exciting! Their closet it almost ready to go!
My cravings are pretty much gone? Although I did see a Krispe Kreme ad in my Twitter timeline the other day and was actually mad because I couldn't have one. Haha yes, I am 4 years old.
Really nothing I can think of at the moment. I'm glad to be done with all that!
Just a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions and back pain but nothing serious!
- So. Much. Round. Ligament. Pain. If you don't know, the round ligament is basically a...round ligament around the uterus or cervix. Or something. lol. But when it acts up it either feels like terrible terrible menstrual pain or a running cramp. Mostly I've felt the running cramp type pain on either side of my stomach. Sometimes it's so bad that I can't walk. It's just awful at this point, but I'm soooooo close to the end so my spirits are up! :)
- Also lots of lower back pain. Nothing too too crazy but it is painful so whoever gave me that heating pad for my bridal shower years ago is my BEST FRIEND. lol.
- Nesting nesting nesting!
- I still have that annoying forehead acne that refuses to go away. Hopefully it goes away after I deliver? Otherwise I guess my skin has decided to revert to its 14 year old self. Noooo!
Happy or Moody?
Sadly? Moody sometimes. I've been very easily overwhelmed lately which I know is just hormones because usually I can get passed that. Lately? Not so much. But thankfully I have the best husband ever who helps tremendously! He watches Charlotte while I put a heating pad on my back and rest. He gives her a bath when he knows I just. can't. do it. He picks up the hundred thousand toys in the living room for me as a surprise while I rock Charlotte to sleep, that is, if I rock Charlotte to sleep because he does that a lot for me too. He's so good to me. I love you, Babe!
So I guess me being moody eventually makes me happy because Tom is such a good man! lol.
My Midwife Says...
I haven't seen my midwives since last update but from now until I deliver I'll be seeing them every week! So that means I'll get double the info for these last few updates! Woo!
This week's update was not very interesting BUT
BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT
next week's update will be FULL of craziness because in the span of time between I turned 36 weeks and now I've had MANY things happen so stay tuned for next week's 38 week update! It's gonna be crazy. And no, I did not have the baby. Ha!
I hope you have a wonderful day!
