B A B Y S T A T S
Little baby girl is getting soooo big! She will gain almost half of her expected birth weight in the next 7 weeks so...I'm going to be getting EVEN fatter. So worth it though! She now has toenails, fingernails, (hopefully) lots of hair, and her skin is getting more smooth and soft in preparation for life outside the womb. She is also practicing swallowing, breathing, kicking, and sucking. The kicking part I have definitely experienced! Especially when I lay down for bed at night. It's really cute and sometimes tickles me! :) Her digestive system is all set and ready to go too. What a big girl!
She is already about 3 3/4 lbs and measures about 16 or 17 inches long!
She is about the size of a

I've gained 4 lbs in the last two weeks. That's good though! I'm "supposed" to gain 1 or 2 lbs per week so I'm pretty happy! That bring my total weight gain to 25 lbs so far.
Oh, you mean my husband's t-shirts? Because that's all that fits me comfortably at the moment. Yep, ALREADY.
I'm waking up a lot lately, either to go to the bathroom or because I'm overheating. And? Sometimes baby girl decides to have a dance party in me! Haha I can't even be mad because it's so darn cute!
Best Moment From Weeks 31 + 32
Like I said above, she has dance parties in my belly and it's been so crazy lately becuause she's so much bigger now that it really tickles me sometimes! Haha either that or it takes me off guard and scares me. The other night Tom and I were laying in bed saying some night prayers and she started kicking and punching me like absolute crazy. I had to just start laughing because I have never felt anything so intense and so ticklish before! I didn't think it was possible but she is stronger and moves way more than Charlotte, and that's really saying something! Haha oh, sweet girl...you're going to give us a run for our money. I can already tell!
Not much really lately. Except - the other day I took Charlotte to the mall and had the most intense craving for popcorn. Then? I found 50 cents on the floor and then turned the corner and there was a specialty popcorn shop right across from the little indoor playground I was going to take her to. It was fate! So Charlotte and I shard a bag of kettle corn and it was just what we both needed on a rainy, cloudy day. It was such a fun date with my little love (and her crazy kicking sister)!
You know that dirty dog smell? THAT. I already hate that smell but lately it has just killed me.
I've been having a bunch of Braxton Hicks contractions lately. This isn't really a labor sign but I've been having dreams every single night that I'm in labor. Isn't that fun?!
You know that point in your life in like...middle school or high school when your face was just covered in acne? That's me right now. Except I'm in my 20's so...
It must be hormonal? But at the same time I noticed it after I started using my husband's facial moisturizer. Not the best idea I guess. I switched back to an old favorite yesterday (Simple brand Light Moisturizer) so if it goes away I guess I'll know it was just that. But something tells me it's pregnancy related because usually when something irritates my skin it just becomes reddened, not acne ridden. My forehead has the worst of it. Oh and Charlotte loves to point out each and every spot on my face! Haha she points at each blemish and says, "What's that? What's THAT? What is that?" Hahaha oh, kids... You spend their childhood teaching them to be honest and this is the kind of honesty they give you: criticism of your appearance. #awesome
Happy or Moody?
Happyyyyyyyy! But also nervous. I was telling Tom that before Charlotte was born I wasn't nervous at all because I had no idea what to expect. But this time I know exactly what to expect so it makes me really nervous. At the same time, since I know what to expect it makes me really excited because I know the exact level of pure happiness I can expect from kissing and snuggling our second little girl.
I. Cannot. Wait!
My Midwife Says...
I'll be honest here - I skipped this week's appointment. I'm supposed to go every other week now and it's a nightmare to find a babysitter, plus it's the same thing every time. I go, sit in the waiting room forever, they check my urine, they listen for a heartbeat, they ask if I have any concerns, I say no, and then I leave. If I actually had any questions or concerns I'd go but...I don't! Baby girl is constantly moving around so I don't need to hear her heartbeat to know everything is fine. I'll have a midwife update for my next pregnancy post though because I'll definitely go to the next appointment.
Maybe that was a boring update but...that's how everything is going!
I hope you enjoyed it!
Let me know in the comments if you're experiencing any of the same things as I am in your own pregnancy!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Love you all!
